AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) hate has become a serious problem in the United States, particularly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. AAPI individuals have been targeted and subjected to verbal and physical attacks, harassment, discrimination, and racism. Many of these incidents are fueled by anti-Asian rhetoric and stereotypes, which have been amplified by some political leaders and media outlets.

The goal of our app is to promote comfort and inclusivity amidst the tensions AAPI individuals face in the United States. We hope that users of our app find it easier to connect with others in the AAPI community who share the same struggles they do.
