Our product

The goal of the Stop AAPI Hate app is to have individuals who identify with AAPI to feel more comfortable amidst the hate they face as a targeted minority group in the United States. We do this by keeping people aware of the hate that is happening in their areas, as well as facilitating informed conversations between people who have to deal with and are afraid of AAPI Hate everywhere they go.

We want to stress a connection with a larger community who share the same hardships. We want people to feel welcome, happy, and understood. No one should feel alone in their struggle against discrimination, and with our app we hope to help those who would otherwise feel isolated.

The Stop AAPI Hate app offers advanced services in the form of the following features:

Map

Our app uses the location of the users to place a pin on the location of the hate. This allows other users to see where the hate is happening and avoid those locations accordingly. Allowing users to view areas of hate nationwide may also inspire social change in areas where AAPI discrimination is more common.

Report form

The use of a report form in an app for reporting AAPI hate crimes is an effective way to gather and document incidents of hate and discrimination. With this form, users can report hate incidents anonymously, providing important details such as the location, time, and type of incident.

News Feed

Our news feed provides users with up-to-date and relevant information about incidents of hate and discrimination against the AAPI community. Our newsfeed will keep users informed about latest developments and initiatives related to AAPI hate. Additionally, users can post about activism events, AAPI-related funding, and more.
