The effectiveness of the app is both determined and defined by the experience of the users. We found that each feature we implemented was rated very highly in terms of how effective they were.

In the app efficiency test results, outliers need to be closely inspected. It’s easy to see that the first two tasks, each centered around creating and posting, took on average much longer than the third task, which was simply to find your pin point on the map. The two outliers however, may reveal a common hang-up or design flaw involved with this part of the process.

When it came to the preferences of the users, there were a lot of comments made about improvements to the design of the UI. With the news feed, this took the form of people asking for the text to be less dense.

 

Other than this, added functionality like reposting, likes, and dislikes were suggested for the news feed feature. 

Future iterations of the project will include design choices and added functionality according to the wishes of the users.
